Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients
- 2 boneless chicken breasts
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 slices cooked deli ham
- 1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Combine bread crumbs and salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make 4 thin slices of chicken breast.
- Place 1 ham slice and 1 cheese slice on top of each breast slice. Roll up breast pinwheel-style.
- Roll each breast in butter and then in the crumb mixture to coat. Secure with 2 toothpicks.
- Place in 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
- Remove from oven, place 1/2 slice Swiss cheese on top of each breast, and return to oven.
- Bake for 3 to 5 more minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove toothpicks and serve.
