Chicken Cordon Bleu

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine bread crumbs and salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Cut chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make 4 thin slices of chicken breast.
  4. Place 1 ham slice and 1 cheese slice on top of each breast slice. Roll up breast pinwheel-style.
  5. Roll each breast in butter and then in the crumb mixture to coat. Secure with 2 toothpicks.
  6. Place in 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish and bake for 25 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.
  7. Remove from oven, place 1/2 slice Swiss cheese on top of each breast, and return to oven.
  8. Bake for 3 to 5 more minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove toothpicks and serve.
