Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt, basil, oregano, Italian seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
- 3 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Pour beaten egg in a shallow bowl. Mix together bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and spices in a separate shallow bowl.
- Dip each breast in the egg and then coat both sides well with bread crumbs. Place on a baking sheet.
- Bake breasts in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Pour 1/2 of the spaghetti sauce into a 9x13 inch glass baking dish. Place chicken breasts in sauce and then cover them with the remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle cheese over each piece and return to the oven for 15 minutes.
Notes
- I serve this with spaghetti or fettuccine noodles tossed with a little olive oil, basil, and garlic salt.
